In light of the Lahore High Court order, due to the current situation of smog, all the public and private schools of Lahore will be closed every Friday and Saturday in addition to the weekly holidays till further orders are issued. Meanwhile, the Directorate General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab has also issued a notification to keep the private institution and its sub-offices close three days a week.
The Punjab government has announced the closure of schools and offices in Lahore 3 days a week in view of the growing diseases due to increasing air pollution and smog. In this regard, a notification issued by the provincial government has been said. All public and private schools will be closed for 3 days a week.
