At the beginning of the jail filled movement of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, several leaders including Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and General Secretary Asad Umar were arrested. At the Capital City Police (CCPO) office in Lahore, some PTI leaders and workers boarded the prisoner's vehicle and climbed onto the roof of the prisoner's van. Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Azam Swati and other leaders are also among those arrested. In this regard, the police say that we have not arrested them, they are sitting on the prison van themselves, while we have not received any arrest order from the government.
The police blocked the entry of everyone including officials into the CCPO office, after which the PTI workers lay down on the road in front of the CCPO office. PTI leaders and activists demanded arrest from the police, the activists were taking selfies on the van, the selfies of the arrested leaders have also been released from the PTI social media account. Later, some activists got off the police van and left the CCPO office back towards Charing Cross. On the other hand, according to police sources, the police has prepared to arrest the leaders and workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf and they will be arrested under 3 MPO. According to sources, the arrested people will be sent to Mianwali, Attock and Dera Ghazi Khan jails. PTI leader arrested for breaking glass of police mobile During the protest, PTI leader Mian Abid jumped on the police van and hurled stones at the mobile, which broke the glass of the mobile van. After the incident, the leader Mian Abid tried to run away, but the police chased him and arrested him.
