For the Production of Shah Mahmood Qureshi his son Zain Qureshi has filed a petition in the court, in which it is said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been kept in detention without reason.
Another Applications/Petitions have also been filed for the recovery of Asad Umar, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Waleed Iqbal, Azam Swati, Dr. Murad Ras, John Madani, Itam Niazi, and Ehsan Dogar.
The petition for recovery of PTI leaders has been filed by Tehreek-e-Insaaf's Ejaz Chaudhry, Additional Chief Secretary Home, IG and CCPO have been made parties in the petition.
It has been alleged in the petition that the IG and CCPO arrested the leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf, the leaders were arrested from Mall Road and taken to Jail and then to Kot Lakhpat Jail. The leaders were not even given food and medicine.
In the petition filed by Ejaz Chaudhry, it has been alleged that the leaders have been kept in illegal detention, false cases can be made to harm the reputation, and there is no legal justification for keeping the leaders and workers in detention. The leaders should be recovered and the police should be ordered to desist from illegal activities. Justice Shahram Sarwar of Lahore High Court has fixed Friday for the hearing on the application.
