Actress Ayesha Umar is praising her costar, Yasir Hussain. The pair, who are coming together for their third offering together, Abu Aliha's Taxali, have previously worked in the same filmmaker's venture Karki, a biopic of Pakistan's most notorious serial killer, Javed Iqbal.
"What a pleasure to team up with this uber-talented man for our third film," Omar wrote on Instagram while sharing a post in which Hussain talked about his latest role in Taxali. What was shared? "What a wonderful job you did with this character. Great energy and so much fun on set too. Can't wait for the world to see it."
The shooting of the highly anticipated crime thriller movie Taxali has been completed. The star-studded film features a talented cast, including Mehr Banu, Nayar Ijaz, Ifat Umar, Iftikhar Thakur, Babar Ali, Umar Alam, and Shehryar Cheema.
The film explores important social concerns and promises to be an intense and issue-oriented project. Written and directed by Aliha, the film was shot in the historic walled city of Lahore, which added a unique visual dimension to the film's narrative. It is expected to release around Eid-ul-Azha this year.
Meher Banu, who plays a young girl from Lahore, while talking to a local publication, praised the director's extraordinary work and expressed her excitement over the film's release. The film's producer Waqas Hasan Rizvi shared a picture with the cast members on Instagram.
Aliha told a local publication that Taxali is not only a suspenseful crime thriller but also depicts the folk wisdom and humor of old Lahore. He added that the performance of each actor in the film will set a new standard in the industry.
"Everybody gave a career-best performance and that's because their characters were so powerful," he said. Pakistani cinema fans are thus eagerly awaiting the release of Taxali, hoping that it lives up to its high expectations and critical acclaim.
