Syria (AFP) - Anti-Assad governments rallied in northern Syria on Saturday to protest the return of the Assad regime to the Arab League. Demonstrators marched in Azaz, northern Aleppo province, shouting, "What the Syrian people want is the overthrow of the Assad regime." The banner read, "Criminal Assad cannot represent Syria."
Such protests were held in Bab in the north and Afrin in the northwest.
