The chairman of the country's Supreme Election Council (YSK) said on Sunday that Erdogan has been re-elected as Turkey's president in a run-off election.
Speaking to reporters in Ankara, YSK head Ahmet Yener said Erdogan had won Turkey's presidency over opposition rival Kemal Kelikdaroglu in a second-round runoff vote.
According to unofficial results, the Turkish president won the race with 52.14 percent of the vote, while Kılıkdaroğlu won 47.86 percent, adding that 99.43 percent of ballot boxes had been opened so far.
