After Hong Kong, Iceland sells the most expensive petrol, where the price of petrol is Rs 672 in Pakistani currency.
Pakistan's neighboring country India sells petrol at the price of Rs 336, while in Saudi Arabia the price of 1 liter of petrol is Rs 178. Petrol is currently levied at 50 rupees per liter, OMC margin of 6 rupees, dealer margin of 7 rupees, and freight rate of 3.6 rupees. While customs duty from 18 to 22 rupees was also paid on petroleum products. It has been told that the price of petrol per liter is 240 rupees by adding all the taxes. After the global and local taxes, the public could get relief of 22 rupees which was not transferred. The government bought crude oil for up to 75 dollars per barrel, which means that after taking out the levy, margin, and customs duty, the price of petrol is 240 rupees per liter.
