The Financial Times newspaper reported on Sunday that US Minister of Commerce Gina Raimondo has arrived in China to establish business and tourism cooperation between Washington and Beijing.
On Thursday, Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesman Show Jotting said the Chinese government intends to discuss the differences in economic relations with the United States during a visit to Raymondo Holds.
The latest trade clash between China and the United States took place in late May when China said the US semiconductor company had failed to test Micron's cybersecurity, therefore an important Chinese information infrastructure, and should stop purchasing the company's products.
U.S. lawmakers, in response to this, allegedly urged the US Department of Commerce to blacklist China's integrated semiconductor maker, ChangXin Emory Technologies.
