In September, the PPP suspended Khosa's party membership and removed him from its central executive committee (CEC). The decision was made because Khosa did not respond to a show-cause notice issued by the party.
The PPP Secretary General, Nayyar Bukhari, stated that Khosa received the show-cause notice for "defending/pleading and representing the head of another political party without prior approval of the party leadership."
While the letter did not explicitly name anyone, it was an evident reference to Imran Khan. Khosa had been representing the PTI founder in various legal cases filed against him.
