Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert recently underwent surgery in Colorado to treat a blood clot in her leg, according to a statement released by her campaign. Boebert, known for her strong support of the MAGA movement, has been representing a Colorado House district since 2020 and is now also seeking the Republican nomination for a different district in the state.
Boebert was admitted to a hospital in northern Colorado after experiencing severe swelling in his left leg. Medical tests revealed an acute blood clot related to May-Thurner syndrome, precipitated by factors such as dehydration, travel, and prolonged sitting.

Despite those challenges, Boebert's national profile and the endorsement of former President Donald Trump are expected to boost her campaign against lesser-known local Republicans in the upcoming primaries. If she wins the nomination in June, given the district's strong Republican tilt, she's poised to compete favorably in the general election.
