Gold Price Remains Steady in Pakistan Following Yesterday’s Rise

The gold price in Pakistan didn't change on Friday, following a significant increase of nearly Rs. 2,500 per tola on Thursday.

According to data from the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold remained steady at Rs. 240,600 per tola, with the price of 10 grams at Rs. 208,333.

The Sarafa Association mentioned that despite the rise in gold prices, it still remains Rs. 4,000 lower than its actual cost, reflecting a decrease in purchasing power among buyers.

Earlier in the week, the local market saw stability in gold prices on Monday, followed by a Rs. 700 increase per tola on Tuesday. However, prices dropped by Rs. 400 per tola on Wednesday before surging by Rs. 2,400 per tola on Thursday.

Internationally, spot gold experienced a decline of 1.8 percent, reaching $2,333.69 per ounce as of 1123 GMT.
