North Korea Welcomed Into New World Order With Russia

For many years, North Korea has faced strict sanctions from the "International Rules-Based Order." On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Pyongyang and signed a strategic partnership with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, opening the secretive nation to a new, emerging multipolar world.

In a letter to the North Korean people, Putin praised the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) for resisting "US economic pressure, provocation, blackmail, and military threats" for decades. He stated that Russia and North Korea are united against the US, which he accused of imposing a 'worldwide neocolonialist dictatorship based on 'double standards.'

'This is huge,' said international relations expert Mark Sleboda on Sputnik’s The Final Countdown. 'The details are not known yet, but it's being called a 'mutual aid in case of aggression.' It could mean a military alliance similar to NATO.'

Since the Korean War, the relationship between the US and North Korea has been mostly hostile, with brief periods of cooling. Since 2006, the UN Security Council has passed nearly a dozen resolutions sanctioning the DPRK, with support from Russia and China. However, this is unlikely to continue with the new partnership.

The global trend against US-led Western power grew before the Ukraine conflict but was accelerated by it. Putin thanked the DPRK for their support in Ukraine. North Korea, often called the "hermit nation" by the West, is extremely isolated. However, its growing relationship with Russia might change this.

"I know that multiple Russian tourist companies are setting up tours to North Korea," Sleboda revealed, citing local media in Moscow.

Experts predicted that US actions in Ukraine and Asia would push China and Russia closer, as warned by figures like Noam Chomsky and Henry Kissinger. But few expected it would also bring together two other US adversaries. According to these experts, the administration of US President Joe Biden has itself to blame.

"Russia has supported the DPRK and the Korean people in their fight against the US and will continue to do so in the future," Putin promised the North Korean people.
