Buyers of Tesla Cybertruck have been experiencing delivery delays due to issues with the vehicle's windscreen wipers.
The Cybertruck, an electric vehicle made of stainless steel, is priced between $57,390 (£45,170) and $96,390 (£75,870).
Customers pre-order directly from Tesla and await delivery.
However, over the weekend, several buyers waiting for their trucks were informed of delays of at least a week because of windscreen wiper problems, as discussed on Reddit and a Cybertruck owners forum.
'I picked up on Tuesday in Florida and after 20 miles, it started pouring rain,' shared Cnod on the Cybertruck forum. "I had to sit in a Dunkin Donuts for three and a half hours and call Tesla roadside assistance because I couldn't see."
'They told me it would take a few weeks to replace the wiper motor,' Cnod continued. 'It was very dangerous... I had to open my window and lean out to see until I found a safe spot with the wiper not functioning.'
Another user, B2B, wrote, 'My wiper hasn't worked for a while. I was told to wait a few weeks for a wiper motor. The option was either to keep the truck or reschedule. I returned the truck... unbelievable!'
NSCyber mentioned, "I was supposed to pick mine up on Sunday, but now I've been informed it's delayed until late next week."
While Tesla has not officially acknowledged these delays, frustrated users have shared their experiences online.
The Cybertruck boasts high-tech features such as cabin glass designed to be "as quiet as outer space", the ability to tow up to 11,000 lbs, and a range of 340 miles on a single charge, as detailed on Tesla's website.
In April, Tesla recalled 3,878 Cybertrucks due to an issue with the vehicle's accelerator pedal.
