Katy Perry's 'Woman's World' Faces Disappointing Streaming Debut

Katy Perry's "Woman's World" Faces Disappointing Streaming Debut

Katy Perry recently launched a new phase of her pop superstar career with the release of her latest single "Woman's World," following much anticipation. The song is a lead track from her upcoming album "143." Despite the buzz surrounding its release, the performance of "Woman's World" on streaming platforms has been disappointing.

The single was released on a Thursday, just ahead of the usual flood of new music releases that happens every Friday at midnight. This meant it had only a few hours to make an impact before the new tracking period began. Unfortunately, it didn't gain much traction during this time and only started registering on most platforms on Friday.

On Spotify's chart specific to the U.S., "Woman's World" debuted at a low position of No. 110 by the end of Friday. This was not the strong start expected for a highly anticipated track from one of music's biggest names. Unfortunately, its performance didn't improve from there.

After just one day on Spotify's list of most-streamed songs in America, "Woman's World" dropped off the charts entirely. It didn't manage to break into the top half of the 200-song list and hasn't returned since. This is particularly disappointing given the significant investment in promotion and a high-budget music video.

Perry's single also faced tough competition from Eminem's latest album "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)" and collaboration from rappers Ice Spice and Central Cee, both of which outperformed "Woman's World" on Spotify.

The song had a similar experience on Spotify's global daily chart, debuting at No. 58 but quickly disappearing from the rankings.

Despite these setbacks, "Woman's World" did achieve some success on the U.S. iTunes chart, briefly entering the top 10 and seeing strong sales for a day. The music video also gained traction on YouTube. However, its underwhelming performance on Spotify raises questions about its future chart success.

Katy Perry had hoped for a major comeback with "Woman's World," but its lackluster streaming numbers suggest challenges ahead.
