The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), an agency under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, is seeking qualified candidates for the Assistant English Language teacher position in Japanese public schools.
According to an official source, a Japanese client urgently needs approximately 30 assistant English language teachers. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least one year of teaching experience. The age requirement for applicants is between 24 and 45 years.
Both male and female candidates are welcome to apply. The position offers a competitive salary package exceeding 220,000 yen, with free transportation provided. The contract is for one year, starting on April 7, 2025, and ending on March 24, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria:
- No criminal record
- Physically fit to work (proof of medical certificate, dated within 3 months prior to deployment)
- Proof of financial reserves:
- Private Residence Track: Minimum 600,000 yen (after covering flight ticket expenses)
- Shared Accommodation Track: Minimum 300,000 yen (after covering flight ticket expenses)
Additional Requirements:
- Submission of a CV and a self-introduction video (up to 3 minutes)
- Ability to attend training sessions conducted by M/s Borderlink in Pakistan
- Arrival in Japan by March 31, 2025
Accommodation Details:
- Private Residence Track: Applicants must cover upfront costs for housing, ranging from 250,000 to 350,000 yen.
- Shared Accommodation Track: Applicants must agree to share accommodation for at least one year from the start date of employment.
Preferred qualifications include basic Japanese language skills, local teaching certificates, and certifications such as TESOL, TOEFL, and/or CELTA.
