The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee checked the moon on Wednesday to determine the start of the lunar month Rabiul Awwal, but they did not see the crescent moon that night.
Therefore, they announced that the 12th Rabiul Awwal, which is when Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated, will fall on Tuesday, September 17.
Muslims worldwide celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar, which is known as Mawlid al-Nabawi.
