Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, delivered his first Friday sermon in five years in a significant address to a large gathering in Iran. He commended the courage of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas, in their resistance against Israeli aggression. Reciting Surah Al-Asr, Khamenei emphasized the importance of patience and steadfastness in pursuing truth.
He underscored the concept of jihad and declared that the Islamic system is the only path to safety on Earth. Khamenei called for unity among Muslims to combat oppressive powers and expressed solidarity with the oppressed, labeling the United States and Israel as common enemies of the Muslim Ummah.
In remembrance of martyrdom, Haniyeh stated that Iran will always support the Palestinian cause and encouraged other Muslim nations to do the same. Khamenei asserted that every nation has the right to self-defense against Israel’s threats, promising a strong retaliation if Israel acts against Iran.
He concluded by vowing to seek vengeance for the martyrs Nasrallah and Haniyeh, reaffirming Iran's commitment to the Palestinian struggle.
