In line with the Prime Minister’s directives, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has successfully dispatched its 13th relief shipment to Gaza and Lebanon.
This latest shipment, which departed from Islamabad International Airport, is being airlifted to Gaza via Amman, Jordan. The 100-ton consignment includes essential family tents and warm blankets to assist those facing winter conditions. To date, the NDMA has sent a total of 1,381 tons of aid to the two regions, comprising ten shipments to Gaza and two to Lebanon.
The shipment ceremony was attended by the Palestinian ambassador, MNA Barrister Aqeel Malik, and representatives from the NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Pakistan Army. The Palestinian ambassador expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for their emergency assistance.
Additionally, the government has set up a Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to facilitate ongoing aid efforts for Gaza and Lebanon. The public is encouraged to contribute to this fund to support their Palestinian and Lebanese brothers and sisters during this critical time.
