Telugu movie star Allu Arjun, known for his hit film Pushpa 2, recently spent an entire night in Hyderabad’s Chanchalguda Central Jail. The actor’s visit to jail came after he was arrested in connection with a tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre.

Tragic Stampede at Movie Screening

The incident occurred during a screening of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad. Fans gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their favorite actor, but the crowd turned chaotic, leading to a stampede. Sadly, a 30-year-old woman lost her life, and her family blamed Allu Arjun in the First Information Report (FIR).

Arrest and Stay in Jail

After the case was registered, the police arrested Allu Arjun at his home on Friday. The actor was taken to Chanchalguda Jail after a medical checkup, which is a standard procedure. Although the Telangana High Court granted him bail, he was unable to leave the prison immediately due to paperwork delays. As a result, Allu Arjun spent the night in a basic prison cell.

Chanchalguda Jail: One of India’s Oldest Jails

Built in 1876 by the Nizam of Hyderabad, Chanchalguda is one of the oldest jails in India. During his stay, Allu Arjun was placed in a simple cell in the Manjira Barracks. Reports say that the actor had to sleep on the floor and couldn’t eat during his time in jail. He reportedly couldn’t sleep throughout the night.

Court Grants Bail After Initial Custody

Earlier, the local court had ordered Allu Arjun to stay in police custody for 14 days. However, the Telangana High Court later granted him bail. His lawyers were able to get the court’s order, but they couldn’t present the documents to the jail authorities before the deadline.

Support from Fans and Industry

Despite the incident, many fans and movie stars have shown support for Allu Arjun, declaring him innocent. Fans and colleagues from the film industry have expressed their sympathies, emphasizing that the actor should not be blamed for the tragic stampede.
