The list of players for the Platinum category of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10) has been finalized, with Karachi Kings choosing not to select any players in this category.
A key meeting between PSL management and the franchises took place in Lahore, where the following decisions were made:
- Lahore Qalandars retained Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Haris Rauf in the Platinum category.
- Peshawar Zalmi kept Babar Azam and Saim Ayub in the same category.
- Quetta Gladiators retained Mohammad Amir in the Platinum category.
- Islamabad United, the defending champion, kept Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Naseem Shah.
- Multan Sultans retained Muhammad Rizwan and Usama Mir in the Platinum category.
There is a delay in the decision between Iftikhar Ahmed and Abbas Afridi of Multan Sultans for PSL 10. The names of both players have been sent to the review committee for final approval.
Additionally, after Imad Wasim, another player has also announced his retirement from international cricket.
The selection process for players in all categories, except the Platinum category, has been sent to the selection panel. The panel will review the names and categories and send them to the franchises by tomorrow.
