The federal government has announced new prices for petroleum products, effective for the next fortnight. According to the Ministry of Finance, both petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) have seen price increases.
Updated Fuel Prices
As per the official notification:
- Petrol: The price has been raised by Rs. 0.56 to Rs. 252.66 per liter.
- High-Speed Diesel (HSD): The price has increased by Rs. 2.96, bringing it to Rs. 258.34 per liter.
Comparison with Previous Fortnight
During the previous review of petroleum prices:
- Petrol: The price remained unchanged at Rs. 252.1 per liter.
- High-Speed Diesel: The price was reduced by Rs. 3.05, bringing it down to Rs. 255.38 per liter.
This latest hike reflects the government's adjustments amid fluctuating global oil markets and domestic economic pressures.
