Starlink, the satellite-based internet service owned by Elon Musk, has officially registered with Pakistan’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SECP). However, the company is still waiting for final government approval to start its operations.
Earlier this week, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, confirmed Starlink’s registration in Pakistan. She mentioned that technical details are being reviewed before allowing the company to offer its services.
Elon Musk had also shared on social media that Starlink is ready to launch in Pakistan but is waiting for approval from Islamabad. His comments came in response to a Pakistani activist on X (formerly Twitter), who urged him to bring Starlink services to the country.
