In celebration of Eidul Fitr 2025, Pakistan Railways has announced a 20% fare reduction for all passenger trains to provide relief and convenience to travelers during the festive season.
According to an official notification, the fare concession will apply to all mail, express, and intercity trains managed by Pakistan Railways, valid for the three days of Eid. The discount will only be available on current bookings and will not be applicable for special trains running during the period.
The notification clarified that the concessional fare would not be lower than the minimum fare and that proper rounding off of fares would be ensured. Additionally, passengers will not be allowed to combine this discount with any other ongoing concessions.
As part of the preparations for the Eid rush, Pakistan Railways also announced special train services from major cities, including Lahore and Karachi, to accommodate the increased number of passengers traveling to celebrate with family or visit religious sites. The special trains will offer various accommodations, including economy class, AC business, and AC standard seating.
The Eid Special Train schedule includes five different services:
March 26: A train will depart from Karachi to Lahore, and another from Quetta to Peshawar at 10:00 AM.March 27: Two trains will operate: One from Karachi to Rawalpindi at 8:00 AM, and another from Karachi to Lahore at 8:30 AM.
March 29: A final train will depart from Karachi to Lahore, though the exact departure time is yet to be specified.
This initiative is designed to help ease the travel experience during the busy festive period, ensuring more comfort and affordability for passengers.
