Sajal Aly Shares Behind-the-Scenes Video

Pakistani actress Sajal Aly recently shared a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot of her Ramadan special drama Dil Wali Gali Mein, where she was seen offering creative input to the director.

Sajal, who first gained fame as ‘Afreen’ in the drama Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain, quickly became one of the most admired actresses in the industry. Her remarkable acting skills won the hearts of viewers, and industry experts predicted a bright future for her—one that she has continued to fulfill with her exceptional performances. She has delivered powerful roles in dramas such as Chup Raho, Gul-e-Rana, O Rangreza, Yakeen Ka Safar, Zard Paton Ka Ban, and Aangan.

Beyond Pakistani television, Sajal also made her mark in Bollywood with the film Mom, where she played the role of legendary actress Sridevi’s daughter. Currently, she is captivating audiences in Dil Wali Gali Mein alongside rising star Hamza Sohail.

Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail’s Roles in the Drama

In Dil Wali Gali Mein, Sajal portrays ‘Khadija Bilal,’ affectionately known as ‘Dejo,’ while Hamza Sohail plays ‘Mujtaba Siddiqui,’ also called ‘Mujji.’ The story follows two young cousins who fall in love and decide to marry despite their mothers’ objections. Their journey takes dramatic turns, filled with emotional highs and lows after marriage.

The first episode showcased their wedding, while the second episode took an intense turn with the tragic suicide of a character named Shazia, leaving viewers deeply engaged in the unfolding drama.

Sajal Aly’s Behind-the-Scenes Contribution

At the end of the second episode, Dejo pushes Mujji, causing him to fall—a scene that Sajal Aly shared in a BTS clip on Instagram. In the video, she is seen discussing the scene with director Kashif Nisar, offering her input on how to capture the moment effectively. She suggests, “Raise it a little so that when Mujji falls, it’s visible on camera.” She further adds, “There should also be my point of view, right? Use two cameras to shoot this scene.” Her suggestion ensured that Mujji’s fall and Dejo’s reaction were both clearly visible on screen.

The BTS footage also shows Hamza Sohail rehearsing his lines and interacting with the crew. Sajal humorously captioned the post, “When you direct the director, and he actually agrees with you.” She also playfully praised Hamza Sohail, calling him “the cutest Mujji on set.”

Fans flooded the comments section with admiration for Sajal and Hamza’s on-screen chemistry. One user wrote, “On set and on screen, Mujji and Dejo have become everyone’s favorites!”

The drama continues to win hearts, and with Sajal Aly’s keen eye for detail, her performances remain a highlight for viewers.
