ABU DHABI – A spectacular blue diamond valued at $20 million was showcased on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, marking the beginning of a global tour ahead of its auction in Geneva next month.
The 10-carat rare blue diamond is part of a luxurious gem collection estimated at over $100 million, according to organizers from Sotheby’s, the prestigious auction house known for its world-class jewelry sales.
This exceptional auction will include some of the world’s most sought-after stones, such as:
- The largest flawless diamond in existence
- The second-largest known red diamond
- Multiple diamonds weighing over 100 carats

Quig Bruning, Sotheby’s Head of Jewels for North America, Europe, and the Middle East, commented, “Blue diamonds are at the top of rarity.” He also highlighted the growing importance of the Gulf region in the luxury and gemstone market.
