PSL Tops Google Searches in India in 2025

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has become one of the most-searched sporting events in India, according to Google’s annual search trends report for 2025. Despite ongoing political tensions, border flare-ups in May, and restrictions on Pakistani content and celebrities, Indian fans have continued to follow PSL updates online.

Even though Indian broadcasters were not allowed to air PSL X, interest in match scores and results surged throughout the season. The league consistently ranked among the top sports-related searches in India, months ahead of the upcoming PSL 11.

The next edition of the PSL, set to begin in April 2026, will see the addition of two new teams, further fueling excitement. Prominent players such as Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali have confirmed their participation in the PSL this season, opting for it over the IPL.

The PSL trophy is also slated for an international promotional tour across the UK and the US, highlighting growing global interest and potential investment opportunities.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is actively promoting the league overseas, organizing major events to expand its international footprint. A PSL Roadshow is planned in the United States, giving global investors and cricket enthusiasts a closer look at the league’s growth strategy.

This follows preparations for a high-profile showcase at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, where the PSL will present its commercial strengths and long-term vision to investors, partners, and fans. With the addition of two new franchises, the league has already generated strong interest from potential buyers, reinforcing its status as a rapidly expanding cricketing enterprise.
