Karachi experienced its first winter drizzle on Tuesday night, as light rain in several areas brought a noticeable drop in temperature and relief from the city’s prolonged dry spell. The change in weather made conditions cooler and more pleasant for residents.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light rain and drizzle are likely to continue into Wednesday, with intermittent showers expected to further lower temperatures across the city. Authorities have been advised to stay alert and prepared to respond to any situation arising from the changing weather conditions.
The PMD’s Early Warning Centre reported that a system of western winds is currently affecting western Balochistan and is expected to move toward the central and northern regions of the country during the day. Under the influence of this system, Karachi’s weather is forecast to remain partly cloudy, with chances of light rain and drizzle in various areas over the next two days.
