Apple Plans Major MacBook, iPad, and Software Launches in Early 2026
Apple is gearing up for a busy start to 2026, with plans to release a wide range of new MacBook and iPad models alongside fresh software updates. The upcoming lineup signals an ambitious launch schedule for the tech giant.

At the forefront of Apple’s hardware upgrades are the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, powered by the anticipated M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. These processors are expected to deliver improved performance, greater energy efficiency, and smoother workflows for professional users.

In addition, Apple is reportedly developing a more affordable MacBook featuring the A18 Pro chip, marking the first time iPhone-class processors are being brought to the Mac lineup. This budget MacBook is expected to debut in January 2026, featuring a 12.9-inch display, multiple color options, and a price around $1,000. The device aims to appeal to students and everyday users seeking Apple hardware at a lower cost.

Looking further ahead, Apple is likely to launch the M5-powered MacBook Air, a new iPad Air, and a refreshed base iPad around March. Updates for the Mac mini, Mac Studio, and the iPhone 17e are also expected, potentially arriving even earlier.
On the software front, Apple plans to release iOS 26.3 this month, focusing on minor improvements, EU-related changes, and enhanced interoperability between iPhone and Android devices. These developments suggest a packed year ahead for Apple, with both hardware and software offerings set to keep the company at the forefront of the consumer tech market.
