The government has extended the deadline for paying Hajj 2026 dues by three more days, giving applicants a final chance to submit their second instalment. Officials said that anyone who fails to pay the dues within the new deadline will have their application cancelled.
According to Muhammad Umar Butt, spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, applicants must ensure the payment is deposited before the extended deadline ends.
Earlier in June, Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf shared details of the Hajj Policy 2026. He said Pakistan’s total Hajj quota will remain 179,210. Out of this, 119,210 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government’s regular scheme.

The quota for the private Hajj scheme has been reduced by half, now limited to 60,000 pilgrims. This means the government scheme will cover 66.52% of the quota, while the private scheme will cover 33.48%.
The minister also said that the total cost of Hajj under the government scheme will be between Rs.1,150,000 and Rs.1,250,000. Pilgrims will need to pay Rs500,000 as the first instalment in the first week of August.
Additionally, the Saudi government has announced strict rules for seriously ill individuals planning to perform Hajj 2026. A new policy on deportation has been introduced, under which seriously ill pilgrims may be sent back to their home country. In such cases, the returning pilgrims will have to pay their own travel costs.
