Lainey Wilson Crowned Entertainer of the Year 2025 CMA Awards

Lainey Wilson won the top award of Entertainer of the Year at the 2025 Country Music Association Awards. She hosted the show, performed several times, and was on stage for most of the night.

In her acceptance speech, Wilson said, “It takes a village,” and added, “We about to party.” She won the award over Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, and last year’s winner, Morgan Wallen.

Earlier in the evening, she also won Album of the Year for Whirlwind, her second career win in that category. She took home Female Vocalist of the Year as well, marking the fourth time she has received that title.

Wilson also used her speech to support other women in country music and called out people who try to create negativity.
“For the folks sitting at home, in your mama’s basement, eating your Cheetos, trying to pit women against each other,” she said, “y’all need to find something better to do.”

Her big night felt similar to the 2023 CMA Awards, where she won five awards, including Entertainer of the Year.
