Sindh has expanded its E-Challan traffic System to Sukkur and Hyderabad, marking a major step toward improving traffic management across the province. The e-challan system, which was previously operating only in Karachi, will now help authorities take action against rule violators in two more major cities.
According to Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, the verification of driving licences has also begun alongside the implementation of e-challans. He admitted that technical errors can occur in computer-based systems, but stressed that the government is working to strengthen traffic control measures. Lanjar questioned the criticism directed at the government, stating that reforms should be encouraged rather than discouraged.

Authorities Urge Public to Follow Traffic Rules
The Traffic Police stated that traffic laws are not just penalties — they are in place to protect lives on the road. They urged motorists to follow safety rules, wear seat belts, use helmets, and drive responsibly to prevent accidents.
Officials believe the expansion of the e-challan system to Sukkur and Hyderabad will help:
- Reduce accidents and road injuries
- Improve public compliance with traffic laws
- Strengthen digital monitoring and enforcement
- Promote safer driving habits across Sindh
The government intends to gradually expand technology-based monitoring to more areas, ensuring consistent and transparent traffic regulation throughout the province.
