
A colorful cultural evening and a beautiful photo exhibition were held at the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) in Islamabad to celebrate Turkiye’s National Day. The event was organized by Lok Virsa in collaboration with the Yunus Emre Institute, marking a day of joy, culture, and friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye.
The celebration was attended by Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Huzaifa Rehman, Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz Akbar, and Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, who were invited as special guests. A large number of diplomats, artists, students, and citizens also participated in the event, making it a memorable evening of unity and cultural exchange.
Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu Expresses Gratitude
While addressing the audience, Ambassador Dr. Irfan Neziroglu thanked the Government and people of Pakistan for their warm hospitality and good wishes on the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye. He said that the friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye is not just a formal diplomatic relationship — it is a strong and emotional bond built on faith, trust, and mutual respect.
He added that both countries have always stood by each other through good times and challenges, setting an example of true brotherhood for the entire Muslim world. The ambassador said that the people of both nations share similar values, traditions, and dreams for a peaceful and prosperous future. He appreciated the continuous support that Pakistan has shown to Turkiye in every situation, including during times of natural disasters and political challenges.
Huzaifa Rehman Praises Turkiye’s Progress
In his remarks, Minister of State Huzaifa Rehman said it was a matter of great pride and happiness to celebrate Turkiye’s Republic Day alongside the Turkish brothers and sisters in Pakistan. He praised Turkiye’s journey of reform, modernization, and progress, describing it as a source of inspiration for developing countries around the world.

Farah Naz Akbar said that Pakistan and Turkiye are not just political partners but cultural allies who have always supported one another in times of need.
